| South Africa: Slow Walk to the Sea, Easy Drive to Shops
THE KwaZulu-Natal South Coast offers not only endless golden beaches along the warm Indian Ocean coastline, with lagoons and rocky outcrops just waiting to be explored, but also rolling hills and forests set in an enviable temperate climate. With the warm surf temperatures and all-year sunshine this area attracts visitors for 12 months of every year and is fast becoming a residential address of choice. On the lower South Coast lies what was once a quaint hamlet known, for obvious reasons, as the Blue Lagoon. This was later renamed Ramsgate after a seaside town in Kent (England) by the land surveyor who also gave the neighbouring town, Margate, its official name. .

Just east of Redwood Road, North Temple is largely a commercial and industrial stretch of roadway, an unlikely setting for a campground.
But for half a century now, a KOA Campground has thrived along the north side of that busy thoroughfare. Across the street from Rocky Mountain Power's corporate offices, tucked behind the Old Bottling House private club and a car wash, the campground has more than 600 spaces for monster motor homes, smaller recreational vehicles (RVs), manufactured housing and tent sites, stretching back to the Jordan River, which forms the rear boundary.
The campground has become a year-round home to senior citizens evicted from other motor home parks razed when their underlying real estate became too valuable for the homes.
